TALES OF A GLOSSY GIRL

Ever since I was a little girl, I have always had a love for hair extensions. As crazy as it sounds (a little girl having a "love" for hair extensions), I really did. I used to watch the commercials of all the beautiful women with long and luxurious hair extensions flowing.

 

As a black woman who grew up with naturally long hair, I always thought that the stigma behind black women wearing hair extensions was outrageous. So many beautiful black women I knew with hair down their backs wore extensions! It was then that I realized that extensions aren't made for women with a certain skin complexion and they sure as heck don't stand as a symbol of having "no hair". Hair extensions are meant to enhance the beauty you already have.

At 19 years old, I became obsessed with doing my own research on hair extensions, finding the perfect vendor. I went through at least 30 different vendors, going through trial and error. I knew that if I was going to start my own hair business, it had to be different from every other hair brand out there. I wanted it to stand for something and quality was non-negotiable.

 The term "glossy" can be used to describe both, our hair extensions and who you become after wearing it. Our bundles are high quality, soft and shiny, with a glossy finish. A few meanings of glossy is attractive, gleaming, stylish, lustrous.... all words to describe a true GlossyGirl.
